The
Engineering and Construction Team is responsible for planning and implementing
all company construction projects, including new stores, Store Remodels
and Expansions, Distribution Centers and Corporate Facilities.
Regional Teams manage and supervise all design and construction activities
until the project is complete and turned over to Store Operations or
other end users. This includes:

Prepare and periodically update Staples Prototypical Facility Design
and Building Design requirements (Stores, Distribution Centers, Office
Standards).

Prepare Store Layouts - New Stores and Remodels.
- Manage
the architectural design and permit procurement process for all construction
projects.
- Manage
and supervise all field construction activities until the project is
complete and turned over to end users.
